Eazy AI: Smart Analytics for Your Classroom

Eazy AI is an optional add‑on that transforms every recorded lesson into a rich data source. It uses advanced language models to automatically analyse your class recordings, extract key insights, and enable interactive question‑answering for students and parents.

Why Eazy AI?

Teachers spend hours reviewing recordings and answering repetitive questions. Eazy AI automates this:

  • Instant lesson summaries – No need to watch the entire recording again.
  • Engagement and professionalism scores – Objective feedback for teacher improvement.
  • Student participation tracking – Know exactly who spoke and how much.
  • Off‑topic detection – Identify when the class strayed from the lesson plan.
  • 24/7 Q&A – Students and parents can ask questions about any lesson and get instant AI answers.

How It Works

  1. A class session ends – The recording is automatically saved.
  2. Eazy AI processes the recording – It analyses audio, slides, and screen share content (configurable).
  3. Results are generated – Within minutes, you see:
    • Overall summary – What was taught, key takeaways.
    • Engagement Score (0‑100) – How engaged students were.
    • Professionalism Score (0‑100) – Teacher’s clarity, pacing, delivery.
    • Tajweed Quality Score (for Quran teaching) – Accuracy of recitation.
    • Teacher Mistake Pickup – Potential errors in explanations or recitation.
    • Student Participation Score – Per‑student talk time and contributions.
    • Off‑Topic Conversations – Segments that deviated from the lesson.
  4. Interactive Q&A – Users can ask questions about that specific lesson; the AI answers using the lesson context plus general knowledge.

Features in Detail

1. Lesson Summaries (Overall Review)

After processing, the AI generates a concise summary of the entire lesson. This is visible to teachers and admins in the recording details page. It highlights:

  • Main topics covered.
  • Key questions asked and answered.
  • Student misunderstandings (if detected).
  • Action items for the next class.

2. Scoring System

ScoreWhat It MeasuresWhy It Matters
Engagement ScoreStudent participation (hand raises, chat activity, attention metrics).Helps teachers adjust their delivery to keep students involved.
Professionalism ScoreTeacher’s language clarity, pacing, use of visual aids, and respect toward students.Provides objective feedback for professional development.
Tajweed Quality ScoreFor Quran recitation lessons – accuracy of pronunciation and rules.Essential for Islamic schools and tutors.
Student Participation ScorePercentage of talk time per student.Identifies shy students or those dominating the conversation.

3. Teacher Mistake Pickup

The AI can detect potential errors in the teacher’s explanations or recitations (e.g., incorrect historical dates, mispronounced words, or contradictory statements). This is not a punitive feature but a coaching tool – teachers can review flagged segments and improve.

4. Off‑Topic Conversations

The AI identifies segments where the discussion drifted away from the planned topic (e.g., a long unrelated chat about weekend plans). These are time‑stamped so you can skip or address them. This is especially useful for evaluating class management.

5. Interactive Q&A (AI Chat)

After a lesson is processed, students and parents can ask questions about that specific class. They can access the AI chat from the recording page or the parent dashboard.

Example:

  • Student question: “What was the formula for the area of a circle again?”
  • AI answer: “In today’s lesson, the teacher explained that the area of a circle is πr², where r is the radius. Here is the slide where the formula was shown [timestamp].”

The AI answers based on the lesson recording, slides, and chat history. If the question is not covered in the lesson, the AI can also use general knowledge (configurable).

Quota: Each student has a limited number of AI questions (default 10 per month). Admins or parents can purchase additional AI question packs via add‑ons.

Setting Up Eazy AI

Requirements

  • Eazy AI add‑on purchased – Available for $10/month for the entire school (all teachers and students benefit).
  • Gemini API key – You need to obtain a free or paid API key from Google AI Studio. EazyClassroom uses this key to call Gemini models.

Step‑by‑Step Configuration (Admin)

  1. After purchasing the Eazy AI add‑on, go to AI Instructions in the admin sidebar.
  2. Enter your Gemini API key.
  3. (Optional) Customise the AI prompts:
    • Response instructions – How the AI should answer questions (e.g., “Be concise and friendly. If the answer is not in the lesson, say ‘That wasn’t covered today, but I can explain generally: ...’”).
    • Exam instructions – Reserved for future quiz generation.
    • Rating instructions – Criteria for scoring teacher professionalism (e.g., “Look for clear pronunciation, organised slides, and respectful language.”).
  4. Choose what content to analyse:
    • Analyse audio – Speech transcription and analysis.
    • Analyse slides – Extract text and images from shared presentations.
    • Analyse screen share – Process video content (requires more processing time).
  5. Toggle Auto Analyse – If ON, every new class recording will be automatically sent to the AI. If OFF, you must manually trigger analysis from the recording list.
  6. Click Save.

Note: The first analysis may take 5‑10 minutes depending on the length of the recording and the selected content.

For Teachers

Teachers do not need to configure anything. Once the admin enables Eazy AI, teachers automatically see AI insights in their recording list and class details.

  • View AI results: Go to Recordings → Class Details. Under the AI tab, you will see the summary, scores, and off‑topic timestamps.
  • Monitor student questions: Teachers can see all AI questions asked by students for their classes (and the answers given). This helps identify common misunderstandings.

For Parents

Parents can access Eazy AI from the parent dashboard:

  1. Log in as a parent.
  2. Select a child (student).
  3. Go to Recordings – each recording that has been processed will show an “Ask AI” button.
  4. Type a question and get an instant answer.
  5. The parent’s AI question quota is shared among all their children (total questions per month). Additional questions can be purchased.

Managing AI Processing Queue

After a class ends, the recording is added to a processing queue. You can check the status:

  • Pending – Not yet processed.
  • Processing – Currently being analysed.
  • Completed – Results available.
  • Failed – An error occurred (e.g., invalid API key, recording too long). Check error logs.

Admins can manually retry failed processing from the recording details page.

Limitations & Best Practices

  • Recording length – Very long recordings (over 4 hours) may exceed the AI model’s context window. We recommend splitting very long classes or contacting support for custom configuration.
  • Language support – Currently, the AI works best with English and Arabic (for Tajweed). Other languages are experimental.
  • Audio quality – Poor microphone quality reduces transcription accuracy. Encourage teachers to use headsets.
  • Slides & screen share – Only textual content is extracted; complex diagrams may not be fully understood.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Eazy AI available on the free plan?

No, Eazy AI is an add‑on available only on paid plans (School Plan or Teacher Plan) for $10/month.

Can I use my own AI key?

Yes, you must provide your own Gemini API key. Free tier of Gemini has usage limits; we recommend a paid key for schools with many classes.

How long does processing take?

Typically 2‑5 minutes per hour of recording. Very large files may take up to 10 minutes.

Do students need to log in to ask questions?

No, parents can ask questions on behalf of their children. Students themselves do not have logins. The parent account manages AI questions.

Can I delete AI results?

Yes, deleting the recording also deletes all associated AI data. There is no separate deletion for AI results.

Does Eazy AI store my data?

AI processing is done via the Gemini API. Google’s data retention policies apply. EazyClassroom does not store your API key or the original recording content beyond the retention period of your plan.

What happens if the AI fails?

A “Failed” status appears in the recording list. You can retry manually. If the issue persists, check your API key, quota limits, and network connectivity. Contact support for deeper issues.
